Inspiration:
This giclée print from my original watercolor “American Kestrel” was inspired by a scene I came upon in my backyard. After a light rain in July, I spotted an American Kestrel taking a nap on top of my backyard birdhouse. I snuck around the corner and took photos while it posed for me. After a few minutes it spread its wings and flew off. Using my photographs and memory of the moment, I sketched and painted this American Kestrel’s beautiful wings and markings against the willow tree background.

10″x10.75″ inches. Printed on 11″x14″ (1″ white border surrounding the image).
